Admittedly, it would be foolish to start with your spring cleaning routine if you haven’t sorted out your organizational skills first. However, spring cleaning allows you to evaluate the items you’ve kept at home. Decluttering your home is detrimental to keeping your house tidy. Start with the kitchen. Check the pantry and the fridge for anything that is out of date – you’ll be surprised by the result. Exciting gadgets and tools you’ve bought with the intent of using but have rarely taken out of the drawer have no place in your kitchen. You can then turn your attention to the next room. Anything you haven’t used in several months – aside from seasonal items – should be removed. You can give or sell most of the unnecessary belongings unless they are damaged. Additionally, the home office is a room that tends to accumulate the most paper. As a rule of the thumb, you should consider digitizing everything – you can keep the most critical paperwork in a storage facility – to free up some space while maintaining an organized office.

Children transform not only your life but they also dramatically change the household. There’s no way around it: Kids are messy. You can’t blame them, though. Tidying up is a learned skill.
