25 Ways to Meet New People–Even if You Struggle with Social Anxiety
Meeting new people is tough–especially if you struggle with social anxiety. Many of us would rather avoid social situations rather struggle through the stress we associate with being around others. Avoidance and isolation, however, is not the answer. In fact, avoidance and isolation are two of the worst things for your mental health.
Try some of these ideas to meet other people with common interests and in smaller groups. Put yourself out there. Even if you don’t feel like interacting, just being around others more often can help you feel more comfortable. Overcoming social anxiety isn’t something that happens overnight, but every little step is a win! Make a little eye contact today. Next time, say hello to someone you don’t know. Small steps.
